Hello, I am John T. Daniels, and right now, I am here to witness the moment that will change the world of aviation forever;: the Wright Brothers first successful flight using a powered airplane. It is Dec the 17, —December 17th of 1903 and about 10 o’clock. They are carrying the machine up on the hill and putting her on the track. Now they are starting the engine. There heshe goes! I can see himher going off across the beach about a half a mile. I can’t believe it worked! HeShe is just a little speck now. HeShe is making hisher way back now. I am truly amazed. What a huge step for mankind. I never would've thought this day could happen, and I am here to witness it! We defied gravity! I took the famous picture of the Wright Brothers' Kitty Hawk Flyer at 10:35 from the lifesaving station.
