By ‘diversification’‘Diversification’ I understand to be the differentiation of assets in a portfolio. Diversification aims at reducingto reduce overall risk. It is important, because if assets are the same it may lead to bigger loseloss. If assets are different and if there is a loss on only some, overall loss is lower. It is simply described by the rule: “don’t put all your eggs intoin one basket”.
