The components of orientalism have been informing architecture, art, and literature.
The term orientalism has not been used by Edward Said with traditionalthe traditional meaning. He has expressed orientalism as the orient study- „pseudoscience”study of "pseudoscience" that is used toin possessive third-world countries. In the book, „Orientalism"Orientalism: Western Conceptions of the Orient „ ", the author has written about orientalist discourse that had legitimized colonial and cultural aggression by Western superiority. According to the E. Said, the term „orientalism”"orientalism" includes three meaningmeanings that complement each other: every one that studywho studies East and the East isas a topic of written lectures or books can be called as the orientalistorientalists. Moreover, orientalism is thea way of thinking; it is based on „ontologicalfinding "ontological and epistemological” findingepistemological" differences between East and Western (this category includes various ways of understanding and writing in which the world is bipolar).
