Plastic is one of the biggest environmental issues, but we use it daily. You can find a good amount of stuff that you own that is made of plastic. Even, even if you don’t realize it. Such asFor example, in clothes, the cloth material polyester is all thermoplastic and is extremely common.

So why is plastic a problem?
It takes 450 years or even longer for plastic to decompose
, and even if it has decomposed the plastic may be redundant in some other form. In many countries, plastic gets thrown away in our naturenatural habitat. That’s a big problem for all the animals, and of course for nature, as it's not fully decomposable. If the plastic gets in the water, then the fishes can get it in their system. If we eat the fish that hashave the plastic in their system, then we also get it into ours and that’s not healthy. Plastic can break down in microplasticinto microplastics and that’s something we can’t see with our own eyes, so even if we don’t want it’sit to, there's always a chance that it will make its way into our system.
