The dancing guy and tango video showed us that there’s nothing wrong with being a follower. As children, we are taught that we should always be leaders and that being a follower is considered weak. But these videos showed that being a strong follower is very important. They also showed that one couldn't become a great leader without strong followers. As a leader, having strong followers makes everything run very smoothly. The tango video showed that everyone can’t lead at the same time,. fFor things to run smoothly there haves to be people who are willing to be productive followers. Being a good follower will make others buy -in to what the leader is trying to achieve., Aas stated in the article “eEffective followers differ in their motivation for following and in their perceptions of the role” (Kelley, 2001). Like the “first follower” because of his willingness to get up and dance, he made everyone else comfortable enough to dance.
