On April 2nd, 1917, United States declared war on Germany, because of the multiple attacks on Europe by Germany did. In Document 1 oin the New York Times on May 8,1915, reportsed that a German submarine torpedoed and sank an unarmed passenger ship carrying American citizens. This was definitely a sneak attack on the United States. They wanted to start trouble because of the connection United States had with the Allied Powers. In Document 8, Oon July 30,1916, Aa Jersey City, New Jersey munitions factory lay in ruins after it was blown up by German spies.
