Bachelor diploma thesis is focused on analysing the US animated series 'South Park', considering its criticism of the media industry. FThe first part is dedicated to basic facts about the series, its concept, form and creators. This part is followed by putting the topic into wider perspective of evolution of the mass culture, and its criticism. The second part includes the choice of episodes which are relevant to the topic. Episodes are divided into categories according to the type of mass product they reflect, and according to its form into traditional and new media. Analysis also includes the feedback of some people insulted by the series, and the definition of South Park’s controversy.
