We have few citizen movements in Estonia who work on RB topic. Although publicity often label all these people as against RB, actually majority of these people are not against RB, but just against secret and not-inclusive manner, as how it is implemented and public lies from government. We think projectprojects require real changes, how to do it and public debatedebates about it.

Publicly, about RB, is the oldest of the mentioned citizen movements, officially registered already 4 years ago. It was initiated by people who participated in public discussiondiscussions about route planning. ARB is against well known “NIMBY” businessbusinesses. ARB knowknows that if route is necessary it should go in some backyards. The big part of current official route is the one suggested by ARB.

Contrary to many claims ARB has no contacts with road-carriers. Logistic companies who we have contacts are not competitors of rail service but could be model customers of services projected to RB rail. Once more to confirm, everybody in our organization does this as citizen responsibility without any salary and financing activities from “own pocket”. The major expenses have been printing and distributing cost of our own newspaper that spread along different periodic newspapers.
