Chemical Reactions and Chemical Changes
Reflection
Do you know what chemical changes are? Do you know what chemical reactions are? Do you know what chemicals are? You probably do not; so in this passage, I will teach you all about chemicals!
I am going to tell youshare definitions and real life examples of physical changes, chemical changes, chemical reactions, chemical properties, and chemistry. First, I will tell you about physical changes. Physical changes are when you have the same material before and after the change. A real-life example of a physical change is grinding. Other real-life examples of physical changes are breaking, bending, and crushing. Second, I will tell you about chemical reactions. Chemical changesreactions are when chemicals come into contact with others and turn into another/other chemical(s). A real life example of a chemical change is if you putoccurs when putting 2 tablespoons of vinegar and 1 teaspoon of baking soda. Ittogether, it turns into carbon dioxide. Baking a cake, mixing acid and base, souring milk, and cooking eggs, burning wood, heating sugar, and iron rusting are other real-life examples of such chemical changes. There are also chemical reactions. Chemical reactions are when a material turns into another material.
