Sport performance involves effective, purposeful movements of the body which can be evaluated through 5five main components: cardiorespiratory capacity, muscular power, endurance or strength, flexibility, and body composition (Zupan, 2009). Several different tests are used to assess physical capacity of athletes for training program, evaluation, and selection procedures or coaches monitoring (Attia, et al., 2014).
The Wingate Anaerobic Test (WAnT) was developed by Dr Bar-Or late in the 1970’s1970s in Israel at the Wingate Institute, it. It has been modified during the years and is still being used to assess athletes’ lower-body peak power and anaerobic capacity (Tossavainen, et al., 1996). During the test, the athlete is required to pedal as fast as possible for 30 seconds against a certain resistance which is 7.5% of the participant’s body weight until the lower-body reach exhaustion. Power output during the test is recorded and then analysed. (Zupan, 2009)
Another way to measure lower limb muscle strength is through the countermovement jump (CJ),. It is commonly used by coaches and sports researchers, and the biomechanical aspect of a jump and its propulsion action is capable of producing explosive power in elite athletes as well as in sedentary individuals (Nikolaidis, et al., 2015). The CJ was found to be
