Alcohol use is a major global problem for the public health community. Many people begin to drink alcohol during their teenager periods, which is associated with alcohol problems in adulthoodsadulthood. Drinking alcohol can significantly increase harm if they start to drink alcohol from the agedages 12-20. A survey reported that drinking alcohol is correlated with 3.2% of mortality around the world, and 87% of people aged 14-15 had used alcohol in their lifetime in 36 European countries. Although the percentage of young people who reported drinking alcohol decreased from 1988 to 2011, the average amount of consumption nearly doubled from 1994 to 2011 (Patton et al., 2013)2013.) In the Unit StateUnited States, Alcoholalcohol use is the third leading cause of death for young adults, and it estimated that 75,000 young people dieddie due to alcohol consumption annually (Wechsler & Nelson, 2010)2010.) In addition, many shreds of evidence suggestedsuggest that alcohol may have impaired on brain structure and function as young people’s neurobiological vulnerability to the effects of alcohol, during the development stage (Toumbourou et al., 2014)2014.) Alcohol consumption could lead to a broader range of adverse health and social consequences on young people, including alcohol poisoning, risky sexual behaviourbehavior, suicide and injuries. The evidence revealed 74.8% of teenagers played the drinking game and 64.1% of teenagers drank more than ten bottles per night during the end-of-school celebrations on the Queensland Gold Coast in 2010. During that time, 18% of teenagers also reported theythat they had sexual activity without any protection, and 13.9% of teenagers had sex with multiple partners after being drunk (Toumbourou et al., 2014). 2014.) Therefore, the government is trying to increase the minimum legal drinking age, restricting the young people to purchasein purchasing alcohol in order to reduce alcohol-related harm in the public health community.
