Not all laws are the same and not all places have the same beliefs. We like to believe that we respect that individuals have different perspectives. We viewHowever, we believe that people/places that don't have as much of andisplay the open mind as usminds that we have are highly unfair. When it comes to the lawmaking process, when the government believessome governments believe that something doesn’t look right, they shouldsometimes choose to just ban it. That was the case ofwith the bill that was being passed down in Uganda about a whole new law. This law prevented plenty ofprevents people from being openly attracted to someone because they are the same-sex as you, you. It simply just weren’tisn’t allowed. The law wasis against bisexual, lesbian, gay. and transgender people. EnvisionsThe vision of the government wereis being brought upimplemented, and people wereare being put in jail for having feelings. Gay people in Uganda are gettingbeing punished for something they cannot control, thus forcing them into being people they truly are not. Imagine falling in love with someone, believing he/she was your true love, and seeing a wedding in the near future. Then you realize, then realizing that can’t because your relationship has to be kept a secret. No, no one will support you and you will be sent away to prison for a maximum sentence of fourteen years.
