My name is Marguerite de Navarre from Angloumea, France, and when I was alive, I was invited to a Renaissance Banquet whichbanquet that was held in Florence, Italy. During that time, I lived in Paris, France, alongside my younger brother, King Francis I, and our guards. Around that time, we decided travelingthat traveling the land with a carriage and two horses was most convenient. It took approximately nineteen days for my brother and I to arrive in Florence, Italy, since we traveled ten hours each day (approximately forty miles per day). I must admitadmit that the journey was not easy, so we decided to stop at two cities to rest along the way. The first stop we made was at Claremont Ferran to rest, but we were attacked by a group of bandits. Thankfully, we escaped safely with the help of our guards. Our second stop was in Genoa. There we were able to give our horses a well-deserved rest. Along the way, we were also faced with plenty of rainstorms, which would be good news for the farmers.
