Dear Rick,

Sorry for the late reply – busy times before the holidays 

If I understand you correctly, this means we need to reach 8 journalists for the press trips and 40 for the press conference?

Regarding the 8 journalists for the press trip, we can plan the following:
- 2 journalists for the press trip in Niger
- 2 journalists + 2 other journalists (winners of the contest) for a press trip during the Eastern break 2020
- 2
journalistjournalists for a small press trip (September 2020?)

Regarding the press conferences, we can think of the following activities to reach the 36 journalists remaining (we have reached 4 so far)
- There’s a podium discussion planned
during the end of October on the global compactimpact on migration. We can hope for 2-4 journalists.
- Contest for young journalists in collaboration with a school for journalists. We plan to organize an event for the winners of the contest on the 18th
of December (day of the migrant). We could organize the event as a press conference – and consider all the students as journalists. With this mindset we can hope for 15-20 journalists.
- We are thinking of organizing a training for journalists (maybe in partnership with our national platform) about framing around migration (Around March 2020). Maybe we can try to sell it as a press conference? We could hope then for 10-15 journalists.
- Other events in 2020 can also help to raise the number (e.g. launch of the mobile exhibition)

Thanks for your answer!

Best,
Elise
