Andrew Jackson was an ineffective leader during his presidency because he only destroyed a Second National Bank in which he felt was only for the wealthy. The National Bank held lotss lot of money that went to different companies that keptkeeping the business alive and well. Society was happy when the bank was destroyed and it boosted his popularity. butHowever, it caused the United States of America to go into a low economic time period,; a depression. The money went into State Banks but they could not hold as much money as the National Bank; local stores and businesses went bankrupt. Jackson even fired a lot of federal workers in the government for people who supported him, otherwise known as the spoils system. He did not side with the place he was from, instead he favored withfavoring the North and the Tariff. This shocked the southerners and he probably lost a lot of supporters. Jackson was an effective leader to the people, but not to the country.
