Air resistance is a force that opposes to the motion of an object when it passes through air. The amount of air resistance an object can get depends on their speed. An example of air resistance is when a piece of paper floats to the ground when released to the air.

Air resistance is a type of frictional force which always occurs against an object’s motion. The bigger the object, the more air resistance will occur. Air resistance is measured in newtons. It is most
ly commonly used in parachutes. Air resistance is, as used by a lot of parachutistparachutists use it to slow down the falldescent of their parachutes.

When air resistance acts,
it slows the acceleration duringof the falling of an object will be less because air resistance affects the motion of the falling object by making it slower. Air resistance depends on the speed of the object and the surface area of the object. The more surface area, the lesser the speed.

Air resistance can be used for a lot of things
; mainly for falling objects. Air resistance canis also be calledreferred to as drag. It has beenwas discovered by the famous Italian scientist, Galileo.
