Hi, here's the scenario: we originally applied for a specific permit for a job and we paid a fee for it. Later we applied for a larger permit and paid a larger fee. Then we found thisdiscivered that the larger permit already included this specific permit in its list. We were asked to send them a refund request with the reasons why for their approval:
My manager forwarded me this email to proceed with our request for a refund for the excessive permit that we applied back infor on June 30, 2020. We applied this permit for "XYZ" because we were asked to at the time. Please see the attached receipt for the application of this permit.
We want to request a refund because we also have ABC permit now, which already includes this XYZ permit. Therefore, it seems to us that we made an unnecessary application for this permit and paid the fee twice.
Please review and process our refund at your earliest convenience.
