There is a critical need to replace the existing procurement process, as it does not allow Hospitality to accurately identify the outletsoutlet's profitability. To achieve that, Hospitality requires an Actual Vs Theoretical reporting capability. Given the new reality of operating in a Covid 19Covid-19 environment and the need to look for ways to cut cost, it is imperative to track and manage inventory in an efficient way. Moreover, Hospitality has an immediate need to be able to transfer finished product between warehouses.
The current D365 procurement processes are adding time and effort to the whole supply chain process. The data provided by D365 is not enough to evaluate the outlet’s profitability. We are unable to cost our Food and Beverage properly and we do not have the visibility of a finished (assembled) product. As a result, some business operations are greatly affected, thus requiring an immediate solution.

This business case presents a feasible solution offor deploying an inventory management solution (YellowDog) that integrates with our existing POS (Volante) and D365, thereby providing Actual Vs Theoretical reporting.

The benefits of deploying an Inventory Management software are both qualitative and quantitative. From a qualitative perspective, the major benefit is to manage and optimize the inventory with less FTE effort. It will help to keep track of the inventory thatwhich will in turn prevent product shortages, thereby improving the procurement process. Upgrading the inventory operations will result in better staff satisfaction and improved morale related to the current environment. The new software will be able to communicate effectively with vendors, suppliers and partners. Mobile inventory capabilities will reduce the time for full/partial counts so that the staff can utilize this time to focus on other value-added activities.
