Good Evening
Ms. Sheridan ,
My name is Tarnaydo Wilmore,. I am the father of Aubrey WilmoreWilmore's father. I am composing this message to relay a persistent concern of mine. Earlier on intoin the school year, I assumed Aubrey was just having a hard time completing assignments from her class work and it was being added onto her homework ;. I’m now aware that’s not the case. I reached out to several parents and I Learnedlearned that they are also experiencing these difficulties. It’s 8:15pm and I just finished assisting Aubrey with her homework. This is usually the time sheshe's preparing for bed. The timestime she’s finishing her homework is getting later. I’m starting to see a declining shift in her attitude towards school and I think I know why. She was so overwhelmed with work today, she nearly cried. I could see the frustration and sense of being burnt out in her. She’s been on the computer with school since 8:30 am; nearly 12 hours, excluding Smallsmall breaks, personal and meal times. I work 24 hour rotating shifts and my wife is working 12 hour shifts. Today was my off day and I was able to fully observe and assist her with her homework. It’s not an easy task resizing, adjusting text boxes, adding colors and sending photographs for an abundance of homework. Although it’s 8:30 pm and she’s tired and stressed from the amount of homework she’s had today, we still have to study for her spelling test tomorrow. This workload leaves no room for other obligations or family time. Her day is outlined as school work, homework, bedtime and repeat. I hope this email finds you well, and hopefully I’ll be hearing from you soon,. Thank you.
