Over the years of being a Student-Athletestudent-athlete, I have learned how to manage the balance between academics and athletics. It has allowedgiven me the ability to succeed both inside and outside the classroom and has fueled my desire to reach my best potential and capabilities. As an athlete, I am not one to give up or to weaken. Fatigue, laziness, and failure are not part of my vocabulary, as I give 110 percent intoto everything I do. Traits such as respect, integrity, determination, positivity, and focus, on and off the court, define my character as a student-athlete. In middle school, I attended Pine View School for the Gifted and swam competitively, training 4 hours a day, 6 days a week. I then continued my studies at Riverview High School, where I was enrolled in the Pre-International Baccalaureate program, while additionallyalso pursuing tennis. I wanted to further challenge myself to reach my best potential and transferred to IMG Academy, one of the most prestigious athletic and academic schools in the world. Time management is integral, as I now train 5 hours a day, 5 days a week while taking all AP and honors courses. Being a part of this community has provided me with a solid foundation, built from academic and athletic rigor.
