Fig. 1 shows the Fourier transform infrared (FTIR) spectroscopy before and after nitrate ions adsorptionabsorption from aqueous solutions. The observed peaks above 3000 cm are related to OH and NH vibrations and the peak at 1600 cm corresponds to N–H bending vibrations. In addition, the strong peaks at 1350 and 1550 cm are associated with nitrate stretching vibrations. Overall, it seems that the physisorption is happened due to the remaining of the nitrate stretching vibrations. Moreover, weak Interactionsinteractions and simple desorption confirm the physisorption of nitrate ions.
