From the Voices of Freedom documents this week, identify Scarouyady and Pontiac and explain how they differ in the ways they addressed white audiences.

The Pontiac was a native IndiaIndian leader whose was resistanceresistant to the way the English ruleruled. CameHe came from Delaware andto help to motivate the rebellion. In his speech, he mentionsmentioned how the Englishmen thinkthought they had conquered them and thinkthought they were their slaveslaves. He mentionsmentioned that he believesbelieved about theirthe Indian's inheritance of the land, mountainmountains, treeand trees, and spoke about how they had forgotten their customcustoms and traditiontraditions. On the other hand, scarouyadyScarouyady was aan Oneida leader whose whichwho wanted to maintain peace and harmony. (Foner 174) “He told the colony he approved to build a protective and friendly Indians. He feedsfeels that the white audience did not care about the slaves, they have always been tearing them away from their home and families" (Foner 174).
I think that
the two-grouptwo groups had a different viewviews about the whiteEnglish because of the way slaves were used by them. On the other hand, Pontiac were morewas an admirer byof the traditiontraditions and customcustoms of the ancestorancestors.
