• Moyee’s carbon footprint right now is 3,92kg of CO2 per 1kg of Moyee packaged coffee, making it significantly lower than companies like Starbucks, Nespresso and Douwe Egberts. They admit that they can do better and they will do their best to lower that even more in the coming years.
• Moyee Coffee is partnering up with Soil & More and is a member of Natural Captains Network to measure their soil fertility and biodiversity. On both metrics Moyee has a decent score, but they admit there is room for improvement.
Transparency
Moyee is claims to be 100% transparent, because it increases the trust in a company. The way they do that is by introducing a relatively new technology called Blockchain.
A public database that registers all the relevant information for anybody to see. For example, you can see the name + picture of that farmer to the price Moyee paid that farmer for his coffee beans.
