These wurtzite structure building blocks can be viewed as (3,0) nanotubes a bundle. These bundles satisfy wurtzite hexagonal interlocking rings of atoms in boat conformation [9] against chair conformation for cubic diamondoids; that, which are the diamond building blocks and zincblende structures. The two phases of wurtzite dihedral angles and zincblende are connected via cis and trans bonding geometry respectively. Electrical and field BN nanotubes emission properties can be tuned by doping with gold atoms via sputtering of gold on the nanotubes [12][15]. Doping europium turn rare-earth atoms a BN nanotube into a phosphor material emitting visible light under electron excitation.[13] Quantum dots formed of 3 nm gold particles spaced across the nanotubes exhibit; the field-effect transistors properties are at room temperature. Same as the BN fibers, BN nanotubes show promise for aerospace applications;, where integration of boron and, in particular, the light isotope of boron (10B) into structural materials; improves both their strength and their radiation-shielding properties [17]. BN nanotubes have also shown potential in specific cancer treatments. The present work importance lies in two facts: The first one is the description of BN wurtzite nanocrystals in a way that can keep their natural properties and nomenclature concerning the bulk crystals, such as the wurtzite structural indices (a and c). As we shall see, the calculated physical properties are in good agreement with experimental results such as bond lengths, angles between two bonds, vibrational frequencies, energy gap..., etc. The second fact is that many applications can be sought using the present suggested structures. Gas sensing using BN nanostructures is a contemporary subject that is explored successfully in the present work using the present wurtzoid structures since it is rarely explored theoretically in literature, making the few attempts present work one in this direction.
